About Beer Habanero Scorpion

Ever since our launch in 2015, customers have been asking us for a super-hot hot sauce. At the time, we were busy keeping up with our original four bottles, so we mostly smiled and said, “Yeah, maybe one day.”

That “one day” arrived in late 2019, when Hot Ones reached out looking for a new sauce to fill their legendary #7 out of 10 spot in Season 13. Our Habanero had already held the #6 spot back in Season 9, but we knew this challenge called for something bigger, bolder, and decidedly hotter.

So, we fired up the roaster and kettle and started experimenting. After countless test batches, the winning formula began with our best-selling Habanero and layered in superhots like Ghost, Scorpion, and Reaper peppers. To balance the blistering heat, we added a boozy twist (the alcohol cooks out) for rich depth and complexity. Then we fine-tuned with complementary ingredients to nail the flavor theme of each sauce.

The result? Three bold, fiery creations:
